Family Resilience Camps

After a deployment the reintegration phase can last on average up to two years.  Once service members return, it is difficult for families to pick up where they left off and instead they must adapt new communication and ways of relating to one another.  Weekend family camps provide programming to youth, teens and adults with the focus on effective communication, family dynamics,

planning for the future, while also giving family time away to bond and reconnect.

Youth Programming

Annual Indiana National Guard (ING) Youth Camp and additional youth programming to help youth connect with other military youth who are experiencing similar circumstances such as separation, stress of deployment, and added responsibilities as a result of their parents absence.

Survivor Outreach Services (SOS)

Supports the annual weekend "Survivor Transition and Resilience Retreat" (STARR) as well as other quarterly events provided

to surviving family members of Indiana's fallen heroes who served in all military branches.

Emergency Family Travel Assistance

Supports family member of ING members who have been wounded or killed in action.  Emergency travel provides financial assistance

for families who need to travel out-of-town to visit their wounded service member or attend a funeral.

Emergency Gift Cards

Provided to the 14 Indiana Family Assistance Centers to help service members and their families in times of

unexpected and emergency hardships to purchase items such as food.
