Force Readiness Through Individual Preparedness

Duty-related stresses on a soldier or airman’s family is a significant distraction.  When in dangerous situations, this distraction could cause operations to go awry and put the soldier and his/her unit in harm’s way.  These stresses also lead to the kind of personal situation that can bring on anxiety, depression and even suicide.  INGRF exists to help the Guard and its Family Assistance Specialists to relieve those stresses on individuals and improve overall force readiness.

Indiana National Guard Relief Fund

The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund (INGRF) was established in 2003 as a collaboration between the Lilly Endowment and the Indiana National Guard Command Staff to support the Indiana National Guard in the escalation of deployments following the events of September 11, 2001. Specifically, INGRF was established to bring financial relief from the unique stresses experienced by the Guard.

The Indiana National Guard Relief Fund is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose Board is appointed by The Adjutant General, but functions independent of the chain of command. Since its founding, the Fund has helped hundreds of Indiana's service member to weather periods of duty related financial hardships.
